Wise friends

Have you struggled with some friends who influence you in a bad way? There is a old saying, "Tell me who your friends are and I will tell you who you are."  Your companions will really form your character.

If we want to improve ourselves to be become a better person. We need to also seek friendship to those who have a growth mindset and will support and encourage you to become better.

As a matter fact, this practice is consistent from Proverbs 13:20: "Wise friends make you wise, but you hurt yourself by going around with fools." Choose your friends wisely because you will grow together with them in word, thought and deeds. Friends mentor you and will share with you their struggles. A true friend will never stab you at the back and will not betray you. They will be happy for your success and support you all the way. True friends are not jealous of you and does not wish your destruction. Instead, they will find ways to make you successful.

Respect everyone

Do you respect your elders? Do you value their wisdom and experiences? How can you show your respect to them?

Most of the time, we are stubborn and do not listen to advices especially from those older than us. Being young we are impulsive and we want to accomplish right away our plans without even thinking about it. Why are we not listening from those with experience? Is it because of pride and we assume that we know everything.

We are stubborn sometimes because we are just selfish and only think about ourselves. In 1 Timothy 5:1-2, Paul reminded " Do not rebuke an older men harshly, but exhort him as if he were your father. Treat younger men as brothers, older women as mothers, and younger women as sisters, with absolute purity." Paul emphasized respect to those who are older and younger than us, whether they are men or women, we treat them all with utmost respect. 

How can you show respect without hesitation? Everyday is an opportunity to show our love and respect to others and having a Christ-like attitude. Its free to be kind in this harsh world. Choose kindness and love everyday.💗💖💝

Listen

Do you believe in God? Do you read His words and follow it? 

When we believe in God, we need to follow Him by reading His messages from the bible. After reading, we need to meditate on it day and night. Feeding our mind with God's words will fill our hearts with gladness and it will reflect to our actions. 

In John 5:24, "Those who listen to my message and believe in God who sent me have eternal life." This verse reminds us to only listen to God and believe in His messages as guidance in our daily lives.

Let us take time to read the bible everyday and reflect on it to guide us in making decisions. 

Bread

Are you hungry for food, money or power? What if someone offers you money in exchange of helping him carry an illegal drugs abroad? Will you take the risk and neglect the possible consequences of being caught?

Do not be tempted in any evil thoughts or actions offered by some men. Stick to your values and belief even if it will deprived you of food, money and power.  In Matthew 4:4, Jesus said "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes out from the mouth of God." More than physical things we can survive even without it if we dwell on God's word.

Focus on God's word and it will serve as your daily spiritual nourishment. The word from God will be our bread which strengthens our faith daily. Make it a habit, read God's word, meditate on it and apply it daily. Amen!🙏🏽

Overflowing love

Are you passionate about what you are doing? How can you show love and have energy to accomplish your goals?

Well, the answer is simple just focus on what you love and you will grow in knowledge and skills in whatever endeavour you choose. Just like how Paul encourage everyone in his letter to the people of Philippi, he says "I pray that your love will overflow more and more, and that you will keep on growing in knowledge and understanding." (Philippians 1:9 NIV).

If you love what you are doing just like how you show your love to God, by reading his word everyday, then it will make you grow stronger and stronger in your faith everyday. So, let's keep on moving forward and reach our goals. We can do it one step at a time.

Let God's abounding love overflow with you everyday!♥
