SOAP Series: Walking in God's path everyday

THE S.O.A.P Method Series

Scripture of the Day:

"All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is by his great mercy that we have been born again, because God raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Now we live with great expectation, 1 Peter 1:3 (NLT):

Source: https://www.biblica.com/bible/nlt/1-peter/1/

Observation:

The scripture is describing a promise from God that we can claim it, if we dedicate our lives to Him. If we submit our lives to Jesus Christ, then we can experience the free gift of salvation. As we follow Christ as our Lord and Savior, we shall experience the renewed life, a righteous life governed by His teachings in the bible.

Application:

As we walk in a Christ-like attitude, we should always read the scripture, meditate on it everyday and apply his teachings in our daily lives. We should live a life embodying the fruits of the holy spirit of love, joy, understanding , patience and self-control. We live in a world that is not perfect, there is chaos everyday and a lot of  stress and negativity in our work. May this situation not stop us and move forward and spread the word of God to others.  We should always remember that Jesus Christ will never forsake us, nor forget us. He is always there to guide our way.

Prayer:

Lord, guide me in my work today. Give me strength and wisdom to speak to our participants today. I know Lord that you will always guide the way for us. Lord in times of distress, remind me to be clam and focus on you and trust you that all of these things shall be accomplished with your divine providence. Lord, give me confidence and trust in myself that I can do all things because you are the one who strengthens me. All of these things I ask, IN your might name, I pray. AMEN.

Food for the soul: God gives peace to all of us

Men like us experiences a lot of hardships in life. There is no time that we don't have a problem. We all have problems in work, school, family, money and friends. Sometimes we feel that this is never ending. But choosing not to worry is a choice and it is your decision to trust God always that everything will be alright. I am reminded by the verse in the bible in Matthew 6:25-34 (ESV):

25 “Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?27 And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life?[g] 28 And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, 29 yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31 Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
34 “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

Let us claim that promise of God that everything that we need is provided, we just need to put our 100% trust in Him. Let us have a calm spirit and choose not to worry in all the things that we may encounter.Let us have a peaceful heart in walking in our faith.

Peace is not something external and it is not given by the world. Peace is from within you it reflects your acceptance to Christ as your Lord and Saviour and you will receive eternal peace. Peace is already there you just need to choose to be confident, choose to be brave and choose to be become  a new version of yourself of trusting the Lord in whatever situation you are in. As written in John 14:23 (ESV), that God gives us peace not what the world gives.

27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.

Therefore, we should never be afraid to face the world full of trouble. Our only weapon is faith, trust and confidence from God that He will never forsake us. Peace is something that you do in a calm manner. You just need to pause for a while and reflect before making any decisions. Always seek answers from the bible. Do not lean on your understanding but always refer to God’s words in the bible (Proverbs 3:5, ESV).

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean in your own understanding.
