Beyond beauty

Is beauty in the eye of the beholder? As humans, we are attracted to people who are beautiful. In an instant, they will really caught our attention. As we meet them and slowly learn their attitude, we tend to ignore beauty and focus on the person's character.

In Proverbs 31:30 NIV it says:

"Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised."

This verse reminds us to look beyond beauty as it will deceive us. Instead, we should focus on the personality of a person if they follow God and fear Him. In the world of social media, people are posting pictures with filters to enhance their image and sometimes catfish others to deceive them for a date. We should be mindful and always dig deeper to the real personality of the person. 

Beauty is temporary but our faith in God is eternal. Have a lens of faith not a lens of physical beauty.

Spread Love

How far can you endure and bear the pain and hardships you are facing? Have you not lose hope? Do you have a strong belief and faith in God that everything will be okay?

In 1 Corinthians 13:7 NIV, it says about love:

[7] It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love is an assurance of protection, trust, faith and perseverance. Love at the center will give us inspiration and strenght to move forward with our lives without worry. 

I have encountered so many problems in my life whether at home with our finances or at my work worrying about deadlines and project results. However, I realized that if you love what you are doing and the people around you, you will not feel burdened or stressed, rather it keeps you inspired and do your work despite the hardships. 

I realized how the power of love can erase all negativities and heaviness inside you. Love truly is the divine power from God. God loves us first and loving Him should be the center of our lives.  If you love Him, then you need to share that love to your family, friends and co-workers and everything will be put into place. 

Imagine if all political leaders around the world show love, we would not have wars and conflicts. We will have economic progress without reservations and greed for power. We can make a difference by starting to love God, our family , friends and community. From here, we can make the world a safe place to live in where people show love and kindness to one another.

Always show love and honor God in everything that you do!
