Work with all your heart

Who are you working for? Do you work for money? Do you work to serve and honor God?

In order for us to survive in this world, we need to make a living. We need to find a job or have our own business. As we strive to put a meal on our tables and secure the future of our families, we need to work everyday until we retire.

However, as we are busy in making a living for us to survive, we glorify money and career and forgot to honor God in everything that we do. We need to focus on God, honor Him daily and thank Him for all the blessings.

As what in ‭Colossians 3:23 NIV‬, says:
[23] Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters,

Our work and our businesses are from God. We should honor Him and give to Him all the glory. We should not please others. We do not to please and impress our bosses and friends. They will love or hate us and we are never enough for them. God will always love us and accept us and forgive us for our sins.

Lets focus on him everyday and fully trust in His blessings and lets be faithful to Him. Bring back to him all the blessings. Lets thank the Lord our God for the things He bestowed upon us.

The Lord is my Sheperd

Are you lost? Don't know where to go?

We always go astray especially when we do not think of the consequences of our actions. Naturally, as humans we are impulsive in our decisions, at the spur of the moment, without knowing if this is right or wrong.

How can we walk at the right path? Who navigates our direction?

Our captain and our sheperd is the our Lord our God. One of my greatest memory of my childhood is the verse from Psalm 23. The Lord is my sheperd.

‭Psalms 23:1-3 NIV‬
[1] The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. [2] He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, [3] he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.

https://bible.com/bible/111/psa.23.1-3.NIV

The Lord guides us and He provides our divine compass to direct us in walking the right path. We are no longer going astray because he gives us the right direction.

Let us not worry for our future. Let us entrust to God our lives. Our faith should be greater than our fear of failure. Let us keep our feet on the ground and walk by faith and not by sight.
