Key Outcomes
The Local Academic Council endorsed 11 candidates for graduation for the First Semester, School Year 2026–2027. The meeting also covered the upcoming matriculation ceremony, learning and development plans, curriculum clustering for BS Economics, and ISO audit preparation. Several action items were assigned to faculty members for speaker identification and curriculum development.

- Community-based research and extension activities to be treated as separate and distinct proposals.
Matriculation Ceremony
- Scheduled on Wednesday morning; call time 8:00 AM, processional entrance at 8:30 AM.
- Afternoon program: Recognition Day and OJT Culmination.
- Matriculation book and certificate of admission to be prepared; commitment message by a first-year student representative (identified as "Renz") included in the program.

- Training 3 – Citizen Science Research Engagement: Speaker search assigned to Dr. Michael Ayala.
BS Economics Curriculum Clustering
- Dr. Ronald presented a clustered curriculum framework grouping subjects into thematic clusters (e.g., Macro/Micro Economics, Methods and Economic Research, Specialization tracks).
- Students select one specialization cluster; assessors must be competent across all cluster subjects.
- Contextualized syllabi and instructional materials required per cluster before formal program application.
- Target submission of clustered subjects and contextualized syllabi: September 30.
- Full instructional materials completion required before next application cycle (target: next year).
Advance Studies / Graduate Program Update
- Concept paper presentation scheduled: September 26, starting 11:30 AM.
- Draft concept papers due to faculty by September 19 (one week prior) for review.
- Presentation format: 10-minute individual presentation → open Q&A → closed faculty commentary.
- Students without adviser approval or submitted intent are at risk of missing the deadline.
- Faculty concern raised: graduate students' concept paper quality benchmarked against undergraduate thesis standards needs elevation.
Research and Extension Updates
- In-house research proposal deadline: October 30.
- Next in-house presentation: September 21.
- Community-based research proposal (problem tree) to be converted into formal proposal format for the October call for proposals.
- Liquidation concern raised for a project (SERDAC); Form 7 identified as the only missing document; files reportedly lost due to no backup.
Quality Assurance / ISO Audit
- ISO Stage 2 audit: October 12–16. 22
- Required documents: syllabi, grades, class records, exams, and other supporting materials.
- Midterm exam period ends October 3; results must be posted before the audit window.

- Priority procurement items discussed: portable sound system with microphone, air conditioning units (wall-mount, 3HP each) for upper-floor rooms, and CCTV already installed on the third/fourth floor.
- Roof deck improvement (sky garden concept) noted in budget proposal; portable equipment recommended over permanent installations due to weather risk.
